Discover the creative freedom of Laura Heine collage as you learn how to build a striking fabric scene from layered prints, color, and carefully cut motifs. This technique turns fabric selection into part of the design process, making every project unique while teaching you how to create depth, movement, and detail without traditional piecing. What IS Collage Quilting?  Collage Quilting is an artistic quilting technique that uses layered, raw-edge fabric pieces to build a richly textured, painterly design. Unlike traditional quilting, which often relies on precise piecing, exact seams, and geometric construction, collage quilting is much more fluid and creative---think paper collage, but made entirely in fabric.  If you have been wanting to try something fresh, expressive, and completely different, this is your chance to play with fabric in a whole new way and make the project as unique as you!

Who is instructing:  The incredibly talented and creative Tia Honeyman will be leading this class.  Tia is North Dakota-grown and brings both serious expertise and a wonderfully creative approach to collage quilting. She is not only an Avanced Certified Laura Heine Teacher, she is part of a select group of just 70 Advanced Certified Teachers worldwide. She will be sharing her knowledge, favorite tips and tricks, and her creative insight throughout the class.

What you need to bring to class:  (These will be available for purchase during the Meet & Greet Kickoff and class time if you don't already have them)

     1.  Scissors (preferred Laura Heine or Karen Buckley scissors)

     2.  Stiletto (preferred Laura Heine brand)

     3.  Collage Mat (preferred Laura Heine brand)

     4.  Sew Tites magnets (very helpful, but optional)

     5.  An open mind and willingness to explore and learn this amazing technique
